Church of St. Anne, Vilnius

One of the most beautiful churches in Vilnius and in Lithuania. Very small in size, but a very beautiful example of Gothic architecture. There is a legend that when during his conquests Napoleon came to Vilnius and saw this church he said he would like to take it on his palm and bring to France.

Three Crosses

Trakai Island Castle

Museum HQ near the main street, in a former Dominican Monastery, near Peninsula Castle. The museum has several affiliates. The Island Castle, a reconstructed residence of Lithuanian dukes in 14th century, is the most famous castle in Lithuania, probably a symbol of medieval Lithuania itself. Many concerts and plays in summer.

Vilnius

Vilnius is the capital and largest city of Lithuania. It lies on the bank of the Neris river and has approximately 560,000 inhabitants. Vilnius was the European Capital of Culture in 2009.

According to the data collected by the Lithuanian Department of Statistics, a total of 1 200 858 visitors had rented rooms in Vilnius accommodation venues where they spent a total of 2 212 109 nights in 2018. Compared to the 2017 statistics, the number of guests grew by 12.2% and 11.2% respectively.

Vilnius is situated in south-eastern Lithuania (54°41′N 25°17′E / 54.683°N 25.283°E / 54.683; 25.283) at the confluence of the Vilnia and Neris Rivers.
