Pitești is the capital and largest city of Argeș County, Romania. The settlement has the reputation of the city of tulips, because here being hosted an annual important festival called Simfonia Lalelelor. In the census of 2011, Pitești had a population of 155,383 inhabitants, making it the thirteenth largest urban center in Romania.


By train

There are frequent trains from Bucharest (including three Rapid type trains) and Craiova.
