National Arts Theatre

Located on the mainland at Iganmu, it is about a half hour drive from Lagos Island. Built in 1977 as the principal forum for the International Festival of Black Arts and Culture, it has now become accepted as the prime center for performing arts in the country. The main auditorium has the capacity to seat around 3,000 persons and the conference hall can accommodate around 700 people. The building also houses two cinema halls, a restaurant and a bar.

It has a southern coastline on the Gulf of Guinea, and has Benin to the west, Cameroon to the southeast, Chad to the northeast, and Niger to the north. It is Africa's most populous country and the world's 7th most populous, and also the largest oil producer and largest economy in Africa. Often regarded as the giant of Africa, Nigeria along with South Africa is also one of the most important countries on the African continent, with delicious cuisines and great tourist attractions. Although the northern parts of the country may be dangerous due to the influence of an Islamist rebel group ISWAP, also called Boko Haram.
