Portugal is a country on the western edge of the Iberian peninsula, bordering Spain. Despite its small land area, it has many landforms and climates between the Atlantic coast and the mountains. Portugal has plenty of prehistoric sites, as well as remnants from the Roman Empire, and the Age of Exploration, when Portuguese explorers found the Cape Route around Africa, and completed the world's first circumnavigation.

Praia da Luz
[from en.wikipedia.org]: Praia da Luz, officially Luz, is a civil parish of the municipality of Lagos, in Algarve region, Portugal. The population of the civil parish in 2011 was 3,545, in an area of 21.78 km2. Also known as Santorini de Portugal, Luz de Lagos or Vila da Luz, "Praia da Luz" is used to refer to both the urbanized village and the beach. The parish had its origins in a small fishing village, but was transformed by several holiday-villa complexes into a tourist area.

Memory
The trams were great fun. I took them all over the place. The best ride was to the old town from near Rossio station which takes you through extemely narrow streets.
Memories in Lisbon
I also rode the bus/trams to Belem. There was a nice museum here, a pretty church, and yummy not to be missed egg tarts at Casa Pasteis De Belem. Lisboa tourist card came in very handy for all this traveling about!
